Finance Minister Sitharaman to meet industry group for pre-budget consultation on 17th Dec
New Delhi, Dec 14 (KNN) Come December and the annual exercise of pre-budget consultations begins by Finance Minister with stake holders.
In the series, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman shall meet the ‘Industry, Infrastructure and Climate Change’ on 17th December 2021.
Ministers of State Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad and Pankaj Chaudhary are also likely to be present.
During the meetings almost the entire senior bureaucracy of Ministry of Finance remains present including Secretaries of Expenditure, Revenue, Financial Services and Economic Affairs.
The Industry group chiefly comprises of national bodies namely FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM and FISME.
Due to Covid restrictions, the pre-budget meeting shall be online like last year.
Besides Industry, the Finance Minister shall be meeting Trade Unions, Farmers, Banks among others.
