Delhi’s air quality fell to the “very poor” category on Monday, post Dussehra celebrations. Data from the Central Pollution Control Board showed the Capital’s overall air quality index at 343 on a scale of 500.
As of 9 am on Monday, the air quality index in Anand Vihar area was 399. The air quality index in ITO was 341. The index value at Greater Noida’s Knowledge Park-V station was 418 (severe category), while Gurugram air quality index remained in the “poor” category.
Early morning visuals from India Gate showed a thick blanket of smog as people set out on walks.

Heavy pollution was also seen at Akshardham Temple and ITO area.
